Eggless Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 375 Grams Plain Flour
  • 375 Grams Castor Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Bicarbonate of Soda
  • 1 Tablespoons Salt
  • 45 Grams Cocoa Powder
  • 180 ml Vegetable Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Vinegar
  • 2 Tablespoons Vanilla Extract
  • 500 ml Cold Water

  1. Sift flour, sugar, salt, bicarb and cocoa together into a 20x30cm ungreased cake tin. Make three wells. Pour oil into one well, vinegar into second, and vanilla into third well. Pour cold water over all, and stir well with fork.
  2. Bake at 180 C for 20 to 30 minutes, or until skewer inserted comes out clean. Ice with your favorite icing.
